Dr. Aswathy P obtained her PhD from IIT Madras and completed her MSW with specialization in Community Development from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.She has served as ICDS Supervisor in the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Kerala, as Faculty at the Centre for Disaster Studies, Sree Sankaracharya University of Kalady, and most recently as a Research Associate in a UNESCO – IOC project at INCOIS, Ministry of Earth Sciences, GOI.
Her research interests span Development Studies, Disaster Studies, Gender Studies, and Social Work Education and Participatory research methodologies. She has published papers in international journals and presented at reputed forums including the Oxford Women’s Symposium.
