Nalluri Venkata Sai Gowtham is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Amrita Darshanam, International Centre for Spiritual Studies at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati Campus. He holds a Master’s degree in Yoga Therapy from Centre for Integrative Medicine & Research, Manipal University, where he received comprehensive training in yogic philosophy and therapeutic applications of yoga. His academic background has provided him with knowledge and practical understanding of the application of yoga-based interventions for promoting holistic health and well-being and for addressing modern lifestyle-related disorders. As part of his postgraduate research, he undertook a project at Hombelaku Rehabilitation Centre, Manipal, where he explored the application of yogic practices, particularly Trataka Kriya and Surya Namaskara, to support the development of psychomotor abilities among individuals undergoing rehabilitation. At Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, he is involved in teaching subjects associated with the Amrita Value Programmes. His academic interests include the dissemination of Indian knowledge systems, human values, holistic living, and the relevance of these principles in contemporary education and society. His areas of interest include Yoga Therapy, therapeutic applications of yoga, psychomotor development, holistic health, Indian knowledge systems, and value-based education.
