Project Technical Support – III (Mobile Application Development), ICMR-Funded Project @ HSR, Kochi

Applications are invited for the position of Project Staff for an ICMR-funded project under Health Science Research (HSR), Kochi Campus. The project titled A Cluster-Randomized Trial of Early Follow-Up, Parenting Support Program, and Mobile Application on Growth Trajectories, Neurodevelopment, and Metabolic Risks among Small for Gestational Age Infants, Central Kerala (Project ID: EM/DEV/IG/2026/1608).

Job Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain the project's mobile application for tracking growth trajectories, neurodevelopment, and metabolic risks among Small for Gestational Age (SGA) infants.

  • Integrate the mobile application with the parenting support program modules and early follow-up schedules.

  • Ensure the application is user-friendly for parents/caregivers and field health workers, with support for Malayalam language interface.

  • Implement data capture, storage, and synchronization features for field data collection.

  • Coordinate with the research team to align app features with the study protocol and data collection tools.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for app users during field implementation.

  • Assist with data management, backup, and security of app-generated data.

  • Travel to field sites within Central Kerala for app deployment, training, and user support.

  • Assist with documentation, report writing, and technical manuals for the mobile application.
Desirable Skills

  • Experience in Android and/or iOS application development.

  • Experience with backend integration.

  • Knowledge of data security and privacy protocols for health data.

  • Familiarity with mobile data collection platforms.

  • Proficiency in Malayalam (preferred for field coordination and user training).

  • Strong MS Excel and basic data management skills
