The I4C Master Trainers Programme on Online Crimes Against Women & Children (OCWC), conducted from 9th to 12th March 2026 in New Delhi, provided participants with an engaging and experiential learning environment focused on strengthening their understanding of cybercrimes through technical knowledge, legal awareness and psychosocial sensitisation. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham – Mano Layam Centre for Wellbeing served as the Resource Partner and contributed to the programme through ice-breaking sessions, sensitisation modules and interactive activities.
The programme created opportunities for participants to engage actively with the training through a range of experiential activities. The initial sessions focused on orientation, rapport building and reflection on gender perceptions, while activities such as “Two Truths and One Lie” and “One Word Check-In” helped participants become comfortable, connect with one another and create a psychologically safe learning environment. These activities encouraged openness, communication and participation, contributing to stronger group cohesion throughout the programme.
The team-building component further strengthened the experiential nature of the programme. Through the “Balloon Tower” activity, participants worked collaboratively to develop structures using limited resources, encouraging communication, coordination, problem-solving, leadership and collective decision-making. The subsequent reflection session allowed participants to connect the activity with professional situations and recognise the importance of teamwork and role clarity, particularly while handling high-pressure cybercrime cases.
The programme also placed emphasis on gender and sex sensitisation, encouraging participants to examine stereotypes, biases and socially conditioned perceptions. Interactive discussions and perspective-taking activities helped promote critical thinking, empathy and greater gender sensitivity. A post-test was conducted to assess knowledge gained and conceptual clarity following the sensitisation sessions.
Overall, the I4C Master Trainers Programme successfully integrated technical training, legal frameworks, investigative procedures and psychosocial sensitisation through participant-centred and interactive methodologies. The programme provided a meaningful and practical learning experience, equipping participants with the knowledge, skills and sensitivity required to address online crimes against women and children and to further contribute as Master Trainers in their respective domains.
