About

Since the first Indian film released in 1913, Indian cinema has been growing in full colours and currently ranks first in terms of annual film output in the world. Indian cinema is so unique and diverse, with the wide span of 38 genres in 23 regional languages such as Mollywood, Tamil and Bengali, etc., that it largely projects India’s cultural, socio-political and economic influence around the world.

On every Thursday, we have a screening of the best classic and modern films from all over the world including Europe, The USA, China, Japan, Korea, Africa, Australia, etc., followed by an open discussion. We also conduct workshops of film making for interested students from time to time.
