About

Dance is believed to have been conceived by Brahma in Hindu mythology. While Indian classical dance is considered a higher form of art and is practiced in courts, temples and on special occasions, folk dance forms are practiced in groups in rural areas as an expression of their daily work and rituals. There is also contemporary dance which includes choreography for Indian cinema, modern Indian ballet and experiments with classical and folk dance forms.

With the aim of promoting Indian classical, folk and contemporary dance forms to our students, we have Kalasandhya celebrations for students to showcase their dancing talents. Moreover, a series of dance programs are being planned at the moment. Please stay tuned for more updates in the future.
