Amrita Ties up with Andhra Pradesh State Government to Impart Skills to the Students

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has collaborated with ​Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and School ​Education ​Department to run a pilot project called "Redesigning ​Educational ​Pathways using ​Technology and​Innovative ​Pedagogical ​Constructs for ​Scalable ​Quality ​Education and ​Lifelong ​Learning" in selected state model school.

16 Amrita Students Win Google Summer of Code 2016 & Outreachy’12 Internships

Sixteen students of Amrita School of Engineering were selected to Google Summer of Code’s and Outreachy project internships. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham nationally stands 3rd in the number of Google Summer of Code selects among other universities. Amrita is the youngest institution to reach the top three positions in the list. IIIT Hyderabad and BITS stood ahead of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

Amrita Workshop on Cybersecurity Held at Amritapuri Campus

A two-day workshop on memory forensics, memory analysis, triage, and the workflow for live RAM analysis was held at the Amrita Center for Cyber Security Systems & Networks, Amrita University from February 11-12, 2016. The workshop was led by Monnappa K.A., Information Security Investigator of CISCO Systems. 

Talk on Challenges in Social Media Security and Forensics

Dr. K. P. Subbalakshmi, Professor, Stevens Institute of Technology (SIT), New York, United States, addressed the students and faculty members of Amrita Center for Cybersecurity Systems and Networks, Amritapuri Campus, via A-VIEW (Amrita Virtual Interactive e-Learning World) on October 14, 2015. The talk was titled “Challenges in Social Media Security and Forensics.”

Cybersecurity Launches Amrita Internet of Things and Amrita Big Data Framework - An End to End Solution for Internet of Things

Two new applications, AIoTm and ABDF, were launched by the Center for Cyber Security Systems and Networks on the occasion of Amritavarsham61, Chancellor Mata Amritanandamayi Devi’s 61st birthday celebrations, held on the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's Amritapuri campus on the 27th of September, 2014.  K.C Venugopal, Member of Lok Sabha, Alappuzha, launched the devices by opening them on a tablet computer.

Amrita Center for Cyber Security Conducts Awareness Camp for High School Students

Amrita Center for Cyber Security Systems and Networks organized an awareness camp for high school students of Amrita Vidyalayam, Pandalam on October 28, 2014. The purpose of the session was to make the students aware of various cyber security issues that can affect them. As this is the digital era, it is important to know how to use computers responsibly and safely.
