Amrita School of Ayurveda conducted a free medical camp as part of Chancellor Amma’s birthday (Amrithavarsham 68) at the Amrita Engineering College Ground from September 26-27, 2019. The camp was headed by a team of doctors. All post graduate scholars from different clinical and nonclinical departments, as well as house surgeons, attended the camp in 8 Speciality OPDs, including Kayachikitsa, Shalakya, Prasooti, Shalya, Swastha and 2 General OPDs and Research OPD.
The camp started at 9 am on Sept. 26th, after the inauguration ceremony by Br. Sankara Chaithanya Swami, Medical Director of Amrita School of Ayurveda. Seven hundred patients registered on the first day and 1100 were registered on the second day. Medicine was given free of cost and they were also made aware of products available from the Amrita Life Stall. Patients also were invited to continue their treatment at free medical camps at Amrita School of Ayurveda on every Tuesday and Friday.
