  • PhD in a relevant discipline (Compulsory)

  • 8+ years of experience in research leadership or academic administration

  • Strong record of publications, grants, or funded research projects

  • Proven leadership, strategic planning, and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to and support the Pro Vice-Chancellor in shaping and executing the university’s research strategy

  • Lead the development and implementation of research programs, policies, and initiatives

  • Oversee research projects, centres, and interdisciplinary collaborations

  • Identify and secure research funding through grants, partnerships, and industry collaboration

  • Ensure compliance with academic, ethical, and regulatory standards

  • Promote high-quality research output, publications, and global visibility
Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with and report to the Pro Vice-Chancellor

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to drive institutional impact

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines
