Amrita Centre for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine Faculty and Researchers Win Awards at BiTERM 2015

Dr. Manitha Nair (Assistant Professor), Annapoorna Mohandas (PhD Scholar) and Dr. Arun Kumar R (Researcher) of  Amrita Centre for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine, Kochi won awards at BiTERM 2015, an Indo–Australian Conference on Biomaterials, Tissue Engineering, Drug Delivery System & Regenerative Medicine, organized by the Department of Chemistry, Anna University, Chennai. Organized jointly with the ‘Society of Biomaterials and Artificial Organs (INDIA)’ – SBAOI, ‘Society for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine’ – STERMI, and ‘Queensland University of Technology’ (QUT), Brisbane, Australia, the conference was held from February 5-72015.

Dr. Manitha Nair won the MAHE Award for the Best Scientific Paper presented by Faculty/Scientist.

Ms. Annapoorna Mohandas won the Best Oral Presentation Award. Her winning presentation was titled “Nanocurcumin Incorporated Arginine-Chitosan Sponges for Enhancement of Angiogenesis in Ischemic Wounds.”  

Dr. Arun Kumar R. bagged the Best Poster Presentation Award for his poster titled “Injectable Chitin-CaSO4/Nanofibrin Composite Hydrogel for Improving Angiogenesis in Bone Defect Regeneration.
