Rakhi Gayathri, a student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri campus, has returned from University of New Mexico (UNM) after completing the student exchange program.
“I am so happy that I could do the student exchange programme at UNM, US. The faculty members and friends were really helpful especially of ECE dept. I got the opportunity to do project under Prof. Rafael Fierro, Robotics (ECE Dept) and also to take a course under him. He helped me so much throughout the whole programme. Also I was lucky enough to have seniors (Aswathy R Kurup, Meenu Ajith, Goutham Ravindran, Mithun Mohan and Allan Philip) from Amrita over there who helped and supported me during all the hard times just as a family. I was able to see different parts of U.S and understand its culture. We used to visit Ashram at Albuquerque on every weekend. Hence it was just like being home.”
She also extended her gratitude to the faculty members of EEE dept especially her HOD, Dr. Manjula G. Nair, Chairperson, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri.
