Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore, inaugurated its 31st MBA Batch (2026–28), welcoming a new cohort of aspiring management professionals to embark on a transformative journey of learning, leadership, and service.
The inauguration ceremony began with a Ganapathy Homam, seeking divine blessings for the students as they commenced their academic journey at Amrita.
Welcoming the incoming batch, Dr. Sathish M., PGP Chair, Amrita School of Business, emphasized the importance of responsible management education in shaping future leaders who are sustainability-driven, community-oriented, and compassionate in their approach.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Nava Subramaniam, Dean, Amrita School of Business, encouraged students to make the most of every opportunity for learning, both within and beyond the classroom. Highlighting the growing role of Artificial Intelligence, she urged students to leverage emerging technologies responsibly while retaining the uniquely human qualities of empathy, compassion, and meaningful relationships. She also stressed the importance of building strong connections with peers, noting that classmates often become lifelong friends, collaborators, and supporters.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. T. R. Srinivasan, Group Chief Financial Officer (Retd.), TVS Automobile Solutions, who shared nine guiding principles for personal and professional success. He encouraged students to believe in themselves, build on their strengths, persevere through challenges, prioritize well-being, cultivate discipline, achieve financial security, spend quality time with family, contribute meaningfully to society, and strive for excellence in their professional pursuits. His engaging interaction with students and parents was met with great enthusiasm.
The event also featured inspiring talks by distinguished alumni. Mr. Vinayan Radhakrishnan (MBA 2002–04), Founder and General Manager, V Decor Treading & Contracting and YES Fitness, and Ms. Anitha Kaveri Pratap (MBA 2009–11), Vice President & Regional Lead – India & APAC, Tech for Social Good, JPMorgan Chase, shared their professional journeys and fond memories of their time at ASB. Reflecting on meaningful friendships, mentorship, and memorable hostel experiences, they highlighted how these experiences helped shape their resilience, creativity, empathy, adaptability, and optimism.
The programme was graced by the presence of Swami Tapasyamritananda Puri, Air Cmde. Satish Menon, faculty members, staff, students, and parents.
The inauguration marked the beginning of an exciting chapter for the MBA Batch of 2026–28, who now join the vibrant Amrita community committed to academic excellence, ethical leadership, and societal impact.
