Over three days, the campus played host to hundreds of engineering students assembled for the fest from all over India.

ANOKHA 2010Shri. T. K. A. Nair, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, Government of India inaugurated the fest at around 2.30 pm on April 2nd.

“You have a great opportunity in front of you to not only make a career but also work for nation building,” he told the assembled students. “Through your job, you must be able to lead a good life and also be socially relevant. Learn to balance both aspects.”

Pro-Chancellor Br. Abhayamrita Chaitanya also spoke.

“Creativity and innovation are not the exclusive forte of the West,” he stated. “Long before Pythagoras invented his theorem, Boudayana in India had enunciated it. Similarly Charaka and Susrutha had done pioneering work in medicine.”

“Even in the field of literature, our country has produced so many great men. Somehow during colonization, India lost her spirit. It is high time we rediscover it.”

And the students tried. Almost as if in response to these compelling words, in a spirit of keen competition, they enthusiastically participated in several tech-fest events.

Technical paper presentation, quiz, network programming, software coding, multimedia contests, robotics, CAD/CAM design, engineering design … there was over 30 events for students to participate in.

An aero-modeling workshop that explained basics of aircraft design was very popular with the students.
An exhibition highlighting milestones of the Indian Space Research Organization was also organized. BOSCH exhibited the latest developments in vehicular technology.
