Arunav H, a graduating student of the B.Tech. Automation & Robotics programme at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, has been awarded the Amriteswari Medal (Chancellor’s Medal) in recognition of his outstanding all-round performance.
The Amriteswari Medal is a University-level honour awarded to an undergraduate student who demonstrates excellence across multiple dimensions of university life. Eligible graduands are assessed on a comprehensive set of criteria that includes academics, research, international experience, innovation and entrepreneurship, interdisciplinary exposure, industry and internship experience, community engagement, Amrita Values and cultural education, arts, and sports. The assessment carries a total score of 900 points, following which the highest-scoring eligible graduands are reviewed and the final selection is made by the Chancellor.
Arunav’s achievement is further distinguished by two additional honours. He has been awarded the University Silver Medal for UG Engineering, as well as the Gold Medal for B.Tech. Automation & Robotics, marking an exceptional culmination of his undergraduate journey at Amrita.
The recognition reflects not only academic accomplishment, but also the broader qualities that Amrita seeks to nurture in its students—intellectual curiosity, innovation, engagement with society, commitment to values, and the ability to translate knowledge into meaningful impact.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham congratulates Arunav on this remarkable achievement and wishes him continued success as he carries these values forward into the next chapter of his journey.
