In the alumni interactive session held at Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore on 13 July 2015, Gangadhar T. G. K., Regional Manager, Microsoft, Chennai, an alumnus from 2004 batch of ASB guided students on the methods to enhance productivity.
Being from a core technology provider Microsoft, Gangadhar taught students the unexplored features of Microsoft Office, a product utilized by all computer users. In his two hours of session, he could teach students more than 50 features of Microsoft Office, leaving the students awestruck.
“We are masters in the art of ignoring. Although, we know there are better ways to do a work, we tend to ignore and do only what we are already used with,” said Gangadhar. “Technology is always trying to help you do better,” he added.
Gangadhar also provided students few insights on what companies expect from employees. He urged the students to become smart workers than hard workers.
The event was held in two sessions, one for first year MBA students and another for second years. Besides students, faculty members too attended the sessions.
