Amrita Center for International Programs(ACIP) is happy to announce the KTH 3+2 Program for the Academic Year 2019.

KTH is one of Europe’s leading technical universities, garnering international recognition in the fields of technology and the natural sciences. Located in Stockholm, Sweden, KTH is one of Scandinavia’s largest institutions of higher education, providing educational programs leading to a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in engineering, science, or architecture. KTH is known for its emphasis on conducting research at the international level and gives great value to collaborative research projects carried out in conjunction with experts, researchers, and students from abroad.

Selected Amrita students will complete their first three years at Amrita and the next two years at KTH. After five years students will be awarded a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Amrita and a Masters degree from KTH in one of the following specializations:

  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)
  • Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE)
  • Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering(EIE)
  • Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
  • Mechanical Engineering (MEC)
  • Chemical Engineering (CHE)

Important points to note:

Final Admission decision rests with KTH. KTH prefers that students maintain at least an 8.0 CGPA. Amrita University will nominate selected students to KTH. Limited scholarships are available – please see KTH website for details. Application fee of SEK 900 (non-refundable) has to be paid for online application. Students should make sure that they apply for relevant Masters Program as listed below. Application to the wrong Masters Program may result in cancellation of application.

Steps to apply:

  • Fill out the google form below.
  • Department approval and nomination will be obtained by ACIP.
  • ACIP will shortlist students and inform them to proceed to online application
  • Students proceed to online application. (Before Jan 12th 2019)
  • Shortlisted students will be nominated to KTH by ACIP.
  • KTH will announce admission decision by March

KTH Royal Institute of Technology is ranked 27th in the world for Engineering and Technology, as per QS ranking. KTH is ranked 118th in the world. In Times Higher Education World University ranking, it’s ranked 117th in the world.

It’s a popular university for International students with over 1300 exchange students and 1100 Masters students annually.

Scholarship Information

Approximately 30 tuition fee waivers are available for students from NON-EU / EEA / EFTA countries who apply for Master’s program at KTH. Selection process is based on academic excellence. Students can apply for any of the scholarships below:

Fee Information

  • Application Fee – 900 SEK
  • Tuition Fee – 145,000 SEK
  • Living Expenses – Approximately 600 – 800 euros, could be reduced with shared housing
