Nine undergraduate students from Amrita School of Dentistry have been selected for the ICMR Short Term Studentship (STS) 2026.
The ICMR-STS programme provides undergraduate students an opportunity to undertake mentored health research. Each selected student will receive a ₹60,000 studentship stipend upon successful completion of the programme requirements.
The selected students and their mentors are:

- Sreya Hari — Mentor: Dr. Mahija Janardhanan, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology
- Joshua George Kurien — Mentor: Dr. Sethulakshmi S, Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge
- Jessia Susan Kuruvilla — Mentor: Dr. Maymol Francis, Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge
- Govind S Krishna — Mentor: Dr. Lekshmy A R, Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge
- Adrija P — Mentor: Dr. Deepthy S S, Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge
- Ayisha Hamna KT — Mentor: Dr. Ananth Prathap, Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge

The selection recognises the students’ opportunity to engage in mentored health research through the ICMR-STS program.
