The Department of Cardiology at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) Kochi organized the second edition of Amrita Transradial Summit on November 8, 2014. The theme of this year’s summit was complex coronary interventions performed Transradially. The summit was inaugurated by Sri. Ramesh Chennithala, Honorable Home Minister, Kerala.

The summit covered the entire gamut of Transradial Interventions starting from basics such as correct radial access techniques to performing complex coronary interventions such as rotablation and vein graft interventions Transradially. Sessions in the summit were led by experts in the field of interventional cardiology including Dr. Kenji Wagatsuma from Tsukuba Heart Center, Tsukuba Memorial Hospital, Japan; Dr. Madhav Menon from Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, New Zealand and Dr. Tejas Patel from Apex Heart Institute, Ahmedabad participated.
