M. D. in Anatomy is a Non Clinical Speciality course offered by the Amrita School of Medicine.
Doctor of Medicine in Anatomy is a three-year postgraduation course. Anatomy is the specialized branch of medicine that deals with the structure of the human body. Subjects studied under this degree are Gross and Regional Anatomy, Osteology, Arthropology, Myology, Systemic Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Applied and Clinical Anatomy, General & Systemic Embryology, Comparative Embryology, Principles of Genetics, General Histology, Histology of Organs & Structure, Staining Techniques, Outline of Evolution, Comparative Anatomy, Physical Anthropology, Radiological Anatomy, Surface Anatomy, Surface marking of Human Body. Any candidate who has passed the MBBS degree from a recognized University thereto by Medical Council of India or any other State Medical Council is eligible for the course.
After successful completion of the course, one can opt to work in a public medical institution or in a private hospital.
