Human Rabies Deaths and Animal Bite Burden in India

A multicentric cross-sectional survey was undertaken across 15 states in India to estimate the burden of animal bites and human rabies deaths. Four districts were selected from Kerala and the Dept. of Community Medicine, AIMS was the implementing agency. The survey had two segments; community-based and Facility- based survey.
