Brief Description About the Project

The Mental Health Project was inspired by and conceived of by Amma during the inauguration of the C20 in India. At this event, Amma emphasized the urgent and widespread need to address a growing global problem of mental distress, particularly among youth. Amma formally inaugurated this project during her birthday celebration in October 2023. The Mental Health Project is currently being brought to schools in India with the goal of expanding to additional institutions as well.

The workshop is entitled AAIR! Building Inner Strength! is designed to promote and increase psychological and psychospiritual strength among participants. It empowers them through a step-by-step interactive program that teaches how to face and transcend life’s inevitable challenges with greater inner awareness, proficiency, success, and peace of mind. The program is a synthesis of psychological best practices and research-based higher psycho-spiritual principles and values that convey important life skills and knowledge. It also helps one to imbibe strength-inducing universal principles such as Awareness, Compassion, Acceptance, Discernment, Optimism, Gratitude, and others and to apply these to daily living.
