- Rationale: The predominance of Primary Dysmenorrhea (PD) and its significant blow on women’s physical condition highlights the importance of understanding its underlying mechanisms, notably the role of inflammatory markers. The purpose of this Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (SRMA) is to systematically spot and synthesize the substantiation of associations between Inflammatory Markers (IM) as well as their interactions with each other or individual factors such as age and menstrual status in Primary Dysmenorrhea (PD). Methods: Searches were performed in four major databases up to August 2022 for relevant SRMAs. The quality of reporting was evaluated using the PRISMA 2020 indicators, which utilised a three-level response structure. This assessment generated an overall quality score ranging from 0 to 84. The proportion of research that adhered to the PRISMA guidelines was also calculated. Findings: The 625analysis encompassed 23 Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (SRMA)s that investigated inflammatory indicators in Primary Dysmenorrhea (PD). The scores varied from 25 to 77, with Standard Deviation (SD) 17.46 and Mean 52.9. The study found a number of things that did not follow the guidelines set by PRISMA. For example, there were not enough details about protocol registration, statistical synthesis methods and their limits, and the evaluation evidence. Partial adherence was observed in 47.83% of the Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (SRMA)s, and 52.17% were fully compliant with PRISMA guidelines. Conclusion: The current Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (SRMA) offers the first-ever critical appraisal of reporting quality in studies that assessed Inflammatory Markers (IM) and Primary Dysmenorrhea (PD) based on PRISMA 2020 standards. The results highlight the need for better reporting to increase the validity and utility of evidence on this topic. Research should clearly and exhaustively document its research methodologies to allow for evidence-based enhancement of knowledge on how Primary Dysmenorrhea (PD) is understood and managed.Abbreviation
