Abstract : This paper focuses on the improvement of power flow in a transmission line by using a Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS) device i.e., Thyristor Controlled Phase Angle Regulator (TCPAR) in series with the transmission line. Furthermore, the look-up table based control of the same system is also discussed. The simulation, practical implementation and the analysis of results of the proposed system is described in this paper.
