The School of Social and Behavioural Sciences (SSBS) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is driven by a mission to advance research and education for societal good, with compassion as its foundation. Located in Erachakulam, in the culturally rich and diverse region of Nagercoil, the campus provides a setting where students can engage closely with real-world social contexts, including rural and underserved communities. This proximity enables meaningful experiential learning and research addressing critical issues in mental health, community wellbeing, and social development. The B.Sc. Psychology (Honours with Research) is a four-year undergraduate program designed to prepare students for a rapidly evolving world—where understanding human behavior is more important than ever. Offered at our campuses in Coimbatore (Arasampalayam) and Nagercoil, the program combines strong academic foundations with practical exposure and career readiness, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP).
