Amrita Student Wins Gold Medal at Kollam District Body Building Championship

Mr. Vivek Vavachan, 2^nd Year student, CCNP(Cisco Certified Network Professional), 2017 Batch, Cisco, Amritapuri Campus, won a gold medal in the Body Building Championship under 70 kg category, held at Karunagapally, Kollam, on 16 February 2018.

Br. Anand Shenoi, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, won the 2018 ACM ICPC Foundation Asia Distinguished Leadership Award, in recognition of service to the communities, industry, academia, and students of computing sciences and engineering through strengthening the ICPC throughout Asia. 

Amrita Student Co-authors Paper in Nature Astronomy Journal

Sudarsan S, a final year student of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, co-authored a paper titled, “Detection of a Westward Hotspot Offset in the Atmosphere of Hot Gas Giant CoRoT-2b”, which was published in the Nature Astronomy journal, on January 22, 2018.

Amrita Student Wins Medals at National Roller Skating Championship 2017

Ajmal Nazar, second-year B.Tech. student in Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Amritapuri, won two gold medals and a bronze medal in the National Roller Skating Championship 2017 held at Central Stadium, Trivandrum, from January 19-21, 2018.
