Mata Amritanandamayi Math to Donate Rs. 13 Crore for COVID-19 Relief

The Mata Amritanandamayi Math is donating Rs. 13 crore to combat COVID-19 and help those affected by the lockdown. The Math will also provide free care to COVID-19 patients at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. While Rs. 10 crore will go to the central government’s PM Cares Fund, Rs. 3 crore will go to the Kerala Government’s Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund.

A Documentary on Chancellor Amma by Shekhar Kapur​

Director, actor and producer Shekhar Kapur has launched a new documentary, The Science of Compassion, on spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi Devi. The 50 minute film was shot at her ashram in KollamRenowned director and artist Shekhar Kapur focuses on Amrita University Chancellor Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, Amma, in this new documentary, The Science of Compassion, investigating the source of human compassion and creativity. The 50 minute film was shot at her ashram in Kollam over four days, during her 60th birthday celebrations in 2013. It includes an interview with Amma, as well as with Nobel Prize winning scientist Leland Hartwell and many others about her approach to life.
