Amrita Student Team Wins Scilab Toolbox Hackathon 2020

A student team from the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, has emerged as the champions of the Scilab Toolbox Hackathon 2020. The Amrita team, "Scipandas", worked on a project to Interface Python Data Analysis Library (Pandas) for the Scilab toolbox, which is an open-source alternative to Matlab, used by researchers worldwide.

Amrita Student Team Wins YASCON CTF Cybersecurity Event

Varun Nair (MCA, Batch: 2019), Heeraj Nair (Alumni, B.Tech. CSE, Batch of 2014-18), Prajwal C. P. (B.Tech CSE, Batch 2020-24), part of Team bi0s, won first place with 6270 points at the Capture-The-Flag cybersecurity event and were awarded a cash prize of 100000 rupees and vouchers from TCM Security Academy. 

Amrita Team Na-Sarathy Ranks No. 2 in World for IAC Social Medial Challenge

Team Na-Sarathy of Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, ranked two in the world rank for Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC) Social Medial Challenge.

Amrita Team 'Na-Sarathy' 12th in World Ranking of Indy Autonomous Challenge Hackathon 2

Team Na-Sarathy of Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, placed 12th in the world ranking in the Hackathon 2 of Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC), organized by Energy Systems Network (ESN) and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). The hackathon was held for a week from September 12 – 19, 2020.

A student team from Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita University), Coimbatore campus, has emerged as the champions of Scilab Toolbox Hackathon 2020. 700 student teams and startups participated in this hackathon organized by Free/Libre and Open Source Software for Education (FOSSEE) center of excellence at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and supported by National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of Ministry of Education, Government of India.
