The regular program is for two years (four semesters).
However, you have the flexibility to complete it at a slower pace.
No. They can continue to work. However, they will need to produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of joining.
Yes, provided it meets M. Tech. thesis requirements. The thesis work can also be independent of their current work at the company.
The students can attend theory classes online and are advised to do so. Theory classes will also be recorded for later viewing. The students will need to visit the Amritapuri campus for lab exercises that require physical presence.
Typically, the internal evaluation will consist of a mid-term exam, quizzes, and assignments. There will also be a final exam at the end of the semester.
The quizzes and assignments can be submitted online. For writing the mid-term and final exams, the students will have to come to the nearest Amrita campus.
The graduates get placed in three categories of companies – multi-national product companies, start-up companies, and IT companies. Examples of product companies are – Nokia, Toshiba, MediaTek, Getinge, Tata Elxsi, ESRI, Phillips, Intel, Dell, IBM, Cerner, Bosch, Cisco, etc. Several start-ups have hired our graduates. Examples of IT companies are – TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. In addition, our graduates have joined research organizations and universities/colleges.
