Bio

Dr. Balasundar C received the B.E. degree in EEE from Anna University, in 2012, and the M.E. degree in Electrical Drives and Embedded Control from Anna University, in 2015. He successfully completed his Ph. D degree in electric vehicle charging station in the School of EEE, SASTRA Deemed University, Thanjavur in 2023.  Currently, he is working as a Assistant Professor (Research Track) in the School of Artificial Intelligence, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India. He is an accomplished researcher and educator in the field of electrical engineering. He is specializing in power electronics, renewable energy systems, and electric vehicle charging stations. He has developed battery state of charge estimation methods, bidirectional converters, distribution static compensator, fault ride through capability, energy management strategy for autonomous DC grid systems, adaptive control algorithms for electric vehicle technology. He is proficient in simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink and PSIM Software and expertise in dSPACE Control Desk for real-time implementation of control strategies. He has published extensively in high-impact journals, including IEEE Transactions and SCIE-indexed journals. His expertise can be leveraged for the development of electrostatic charging units and other allied electronic circuitry for the proposed cleaning robot system. Moreover, he serves as a reviewer for various IEEE Transactions and other reputed journals. His fields of interest include electric vehicle charging system, power electronics, Renewable energy sources and soft computing.
