The School of Business at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus, launched its first batch of MBA students with the inaugural event Shubharambh 2025 on its campus today by unveiling the plaque.

The Chief Guest, Ms. Ashwani Nandini, Corporate Vice-President, GlobalLogic, Hitachi Group Co., Bengaluru, recounted her professional journey from being a mainframe developer to heading a global corporate role. Stressing the importance of hard work, perseverance, and self-belief, she encouraged students to “dream big, keep upskilling, and step out of comfort zones.” She also emphasized adaptability, curiosity and lifelong learning as crucial in today’s fast-changing world. Adding that true success comes with passion, purpose and balance in life, she said Amrita’s blend of academic excellence and spiritual grounding creates not only professionals but also compassionate human beings.

Guest of Honour, Mr. Venugopal G, Associate Vice-President & Global Head, Infosys, Bengaluru, urged students to view the MBA not just as an academic pursuit but as a transformative journey. Quoting leaders like Jack Welch and drawing lessons from organisations such as Xerox, Aravind Eye Hospital, he emphasized the role of creativity, intuition and the willingness to “learn, unlearn, and relearn.” He reminded students that success often involves conscious compromises and that management is about embracing challenges, enjoying conflicts and developing problem-solving skills.

Delivering the benedictory address, Swami Atmananda Puri, Senior Disciple of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, reminded students that “Success is not a state, but the ability to meet, greet and treat the challenges.” Highlighting the three levels of intelligence – Intelligence Quotient, Emotional Intelligence and Spiritual Intelligence, he urged students to discover their ikigai, where passion, talent, societal need and livelihood intersect. He emphasised the CART principle (Change, Accept, Remove, Transform) as a framework for navigating challenges.

Guest of Honour, Shri. O. Shama Bhat, Senior Advocate, Mysuru, encouraged students to value knowledge beyond classrooms and to cultivate indigenous knowledge and preserve our identity in the business world.
