Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Faridabad Campus, in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under prestigious Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Phase III Project, organized a one-day workshop on “Think Before You Click: Cyber Hygiene Essentials” on August 19, 2025.
The event began with a Welcome Note and Lamp Lighting Ceremony, followed by the Inaugural Address by Swami Nijamritananda Puri, Administrative Director, Amrita Hospital Faridabad. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Chandan Sharma from ISEA-PMU, MeitY, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the urgent need for cyber safety awareness among youth.
The session included an introduction to ISEA and CISAI, an ice-breaker activity, and a dedicated talk on Cyber Hygiene covering safe internet practices, password management, device security, and awareness of online frauds. This was followed by team-based group activities that provided students with hands-on experience in identifying and mitigating cyber risks.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of the School of Nursing, School of Allied Health Sciences, School of AI, and School of Social & Behavioral Sciences, along with principals and faculty members.

Swami Nijamritananda Puri highlighted the significance of cyber hygiene in today’s interconnected world, encouraging students about the cyber safety in their respective communities.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is the only private institution in India entrusted with leading a national cybersecurity cluster (Cluster 9: Cyber Security & Privacy) under the ISEA project. This responsibility, entrusted by the Centre for Internet Studies and Artificial Intelligence (CISAI), underscores Amrita’s expertise in developing indigenous cybersecurity solutions and providing incident response support at the national level.

The event concluded with prasad distribution and leaving participants enriched with knowledge, awareness, and a renewed commitment to safe digital practices.
