Rajasthan Projects

The 2024 Barmer, Rajasthan Needs Assessment explored living conditions and development challenges across 20 villages in the Sheo constituency, assessing access to water, healthcare, education, and employment. The study revealed issues such as contaminated drinking water, poor infrastructure, and limited livelihood options, while also identifying strong potential for vocational training in trades like electrical work, mechanics, and handicrafts such as Kasida embroidery and Ker-Sangri pickle making. Building on these insights, we are now launching vocational education training programs, starting in two villages. This initiative will include training in sewing and embroidery, as well as the formation of women’s groups, to empower women and promote sustainable livelihoods.
