The Zenith National-Level Hackathon saw Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s team H.A.S.H. becoming the Overall Winners of the national competition against over 1,000 competitors from across India. The participants from the winning team were Hridesh M.G., Abhinav M., and Harikrishna T.P. from S6 CSE-D, and Sournis S. from S6 AIE-B. After completing multiple rounds of evaluations to advance into the onsite finals as one of the top 32 finalists, Team H.A.S.H. was ultimately crowned National Champions.
“We are very proud of Team H.A.S.H. for this incredible accomplishment, and we recognize how their contributions extend beyond just the university,” said University officials.
Team H.A.S.H. developed the winning solution to address the problem of “AI-Native First Round Screening” by creating a scalable AI avatar to be used as an interviewer for conducting interviews. The main components of their solution include ELO skill ladders that provide an evaluation of skills, a decoupled architecture supporting Redis to allow for infinite scalability, and a smooth transition from AI to human oversight to support a fair, structured and efficient hiring process.
This victory demonstrates both the amount of technical expertise present in the team and the critical role of amFOSS in preparing Amrita students to create production-quality systems and to represent the university at a national level.
