The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus, established in 2019, is committed to shaping future-ready engineers through innovation, research, and industry-oriented learning. The department offers B.Tech programmes in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer and Communication Engineering (CCE), along with an M.Tech programme in VLSI Design and PhD programmes across all major specializations, thereby creating a strong and integrated academic and research ecosystem. 

The curriculum is designed to build a solid foundation in core areas such as electronics, communication systems, signal processing, and embedded systems, while seamlessly integrating emerging domains including Artificial Intelligence, IoT, 5G/6G technologies, semiconductor and VLSI design, cyber security, quantum systems, and cyber-physical systems.

The B.Tech ECE programme develops expertise in electronics, communication systems, embedded systems, and signal processing, while the B.Tech CCE programme reflects the growing convergence of communication and computing, preparing students for interdisciplinary roles in networking, distributed systems, and intelligent communication platforms. The M.Tech programme in VLSI Design equips students with in-depth knowledge of semiconductor devices, digital and analog IC design, ASIC/FPGA design, and electronic design automation tools, addressing the growing global demand in semiconductor and chip design industries.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus, established in 2019, has rapidly evolved into a dynamic academic and research ecosystem where strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering converge with emerging technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The department offers two undergraduate programmes—B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and B.Tech in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence—along with opportunities for advanced research and PhD programmes across key specializations. The B.Tech Mechanical Engineering programme provides a strong foundation in core engineering principles, enabling students to pursue careers in design, manufacturing, energy, and allied sectors. The curriculum is designed to provide a robust grounding in core areas such as Engineering Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Materials Science, Manufacturing Processes, Machine Design, and Heat Transfer.
