Dr. Anoop is presently working as an Assistant Professor (Level 12) at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus. He is an experienced educator and researcher in Applied Natural Language Processing with a focus in SocialNLP and IndicNLP. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) from the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Thiruvananthapuram, under Cochin University of Science and Technology, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Queen’s University, Canada. He also holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from the School of Computer and Information Sciences and a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDHE) from the School of Education, IGNOU, New Delhi.

Dr. Anoop has led several AI projects in collaboration with industry and government organizations and has published his research in leading international journals and conferences. His research has been supported by prestigious international grants, including funding from the Mozilla Foundation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at the School of Business, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi, and as a Research Officer at the Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram. He also brings extensive R&D experience from roles such as AI Research Scientist, Data Scientist, and Software Engineer as well as experience as Visiting Faculty member at prestigious institutions in India and abroad.
