Bio

Dr. Ravichandran Muralidharan is currently serving at the Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus. He earned his Ph.D. in Intrusion Detection Systems (Network Security) under the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, in 2015.

A significant achievement in his career is the design and development of the prototype VHF/UHF antenna for the ANUSAT microsatellite, launched by ISRO in collaboration with Anna University.

Dr. Muralidharan has over 22 years and 10 months of teaching experience following the completion of his Master’s degree in Optical Communication from the College of Engineering, Anna University, in 2002. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, University of Madras, in 2000.

His research interests span Internet of Things (IoT), Embedded Systems, Autonomous Vehicles, Intelligent Transport Systems, Network Security (Intrusion Detection Systems), Blockchain Technology, and Biomedical Engineering.

He has successfully completed two funded research projects and has filed four patents, one of which has been published. He has guided 59 undergraduate and 11 postgraduate student projects. His scholarly contributions include 47 research publications, participation in six international conferences, 28 workshops, and 12 Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs). He has also organized one international conference, five national workshops, and one national conference, and has served as a resource person for academic institutions and industry organizations.

Dr. Muralidharan received the Outstanding Scientist Award from the Venus International Research Foundation in 2018 and was also recognized as an Outstanding Reviewer by an Elsevier journal.

He serves as a reviewer for the International Journal of Engineering and Technology (UAE) published by Science Publishing Corporation and reviews manuscripts for several international conferences. He is also an editorial board member of the International Journal of Advanced Development in Science and Technology and PriMera Scientific Engineering (ISSN: 2834-2550). Additionally, he has evaluated three doctoral theses.

He is a Cisco Certified NetAcad Trainer for the Cisco Networking Academy and has earned a Badge of Merit for his contributions.

Dr. Muralidharan is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and holds professional memberships in IEEE, the Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI), ISTE, IAENG, and SDIWC.
