Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore, successfully hosted the PhD Colloquium 2026 on 4–5 June 2026, bringing together, global experts, academicians, and doctoral scholars for two enriching days of scholarly engagement, research discussions, and academic networking.
The common observation throughout the Colloquium was very clear – AI is reshaping how we see research problems; assemble the data architecture and interpret the analysis. Yet, there were also many sobering moments where the realisation is AI remains the tool while the human research endeavour needs to better embrace the question of ‘so what’ and the social impact justification!
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our distinguished speakers: Prof. Cyril R.H. Foropon for highlighting the importance of meaningful problematization, strong theoretical foundations, and scholarly leadership in doctoral research; Prof. Kamrul Ahsan for his insightful session on Systematic Literature Reviews, bibliometric analysis, and developing impactful future research agendas; Dr Srinivasan R or his invaluable guidance on the PhD journey, research excellence, and publication strategies; Dr. Aparna M. Varma for her engaging workshop on advanced qualitative research and interviewing techniques, equipping scholars with practical tools to move from coding to theorizing; Dr. Nava Subramaniam for her thought-provoking session on the responsible and ethical use of AI in research., and Mr. Santhosh Jayaram for sharing valuable perspectives on social impact measurement through the Theory of Change and impact assessment frameworks and.
Well Done ! to our17 doctoral scholars from across ASB campuses who showcased their research and received valuable feedback from faculty experts and peers. Congratulations to Ms. Devika Rani S.R , Mr. Prabhu Chari, and Ms. ALKA T A, recipients of the Best Presentation Awards.
