AMMACHI Labs and CWEGE Join Nationwide Pledge for a Drug-Free and Empowered India

More than 1,000 participants, staff members, and community beneficiaries associated with AMMACHI Labs and the Center for Women’s Empowerment & Gender Equality (CWEGE) came together to participate in the nationwide Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat campaign, reaffirming their commitment to building healthier, safer, and more empowered communities across India.

The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from teams working across AMMACHI Labs’ research centres and community development projects, including the Seaweed Cultivation Projects in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, Women’s Empowerment Programmes in Rajasthan, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh, and the WADI Project in Odisha. Participants joined the national event, watched the official address, and collectively took the pledge supporting a drug-free India.

The campaign reflects a shared commitment to promoting awareness, healthy lifestyles, and responsible citizenship among individuals and communities. By participating in the national pledge, staff members, field teams, and community beneficiaries demonstrated their collective resolve to contribute to a stronger, healthier, and more resilient nation.

At AMMACHI Labs and CWEGE, empowerment extends beyond livelihoods, education, and skill development. The organizations embrace a holistic approach that also emphasizes physical and mental well-being, social awareness, resilience, and the collective responsibility of building thriving communities.

Guided by Amma’s vision of compassion in action, the organizations continue to integrate social responsibility with community development initiatives, fostering environments where individuals are empowered not only through knowledge and economic opportunity but also through healthy choices and shared values.

The participation of more than 1,000 members across multiple states underscores the growing strength of community-led action and reflects the organizations’ continued commitment to supporting national initiatives that promote well-being, social harmony, and sustainable development. Together, AMMACHI Labs and CWEGE stand united with the national call for a drug-free, aware, and empowered India.
