Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has been ranked among the top 200 universities in BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) countries by a reputed international ranking organization QS (Quacquarelli Symonds). Amrita is ranked ahead of many well known, older universities.
The ranked list can be found here.
QS brings out the World University Rankings (WUR), which is regarded as one of the most influential and coveted university rankings in the world. QS University Rankings: BRICS was developed to track the relative progress of leading universities in BRICS countries. This ranking is based on key performance indicators relating to global reputation, employability, internationalization, faculty quality and research output and impact.
Credit for Amrita’s steep ascent can largely be attributed to Amma’s spectacular leadership in promoting research and innovation that directly benefits the world at large, while attracting the best faculty from all over the globe. The Amrita Ranking Council (ARC), constituted last year, will continue to spearhead initiatives that enable both faculty and students at Amrita to succeed to the best of their abilities and also receive international accolades.
