A team of students from the Amrita School of Artificial Intelligence, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, has brought laurels to the university by securing the First Prize at Quantathon 2026, a 36-hour international live hackathon on Quantum Technology hosted by Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, Chennai.
The winning team comprised Annareddy Pardhav Reddy, Dhiren Vasudeva, Vani Karre, and Dhanushiya S., all third-semester students from the Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) programmes.
Competing against teams from leading institutions, the Amrita students impressed the judges with their innovative approach, technical excellence, and collaborative problem-solving skills in addressing challenges in the rapidly evolving field of quantum technology.
As winners of the prestigious hackathon, the team received a cash prize of ₹1,00,000 and earned an international internship opportunity in Malaysia, providing them with valuable global exposure in emerging technologies.
