International Seminar on Precast Prestressed Concrete for Infrastructure Applications was organized by Department of Civil Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore from 20-21 December 2018, in association with Coimbatore centres of ACCE (India) and ICI with the support of PCI (US).

The two day seminar started with keynote address by Er. Inki Choi, Head, Design (Bridges), Heavy Civil IC, L&T Construction and continued with interactive panel discussions, presentations and briefings on topics of interest to the precast prestressed concrete for infrastructure applications. It comprised of a set of presentations of real world cases describing new and noteworthy initiatives relevant to the seminar theme. Panel discussions into three aspects viz., Opportunities, Challenges and Way forward were also addressed. The seminar was concluded with identification of potential follow-up tasks from academia and industry side.
