he Skill Intelligence Lab at the AMMACHI Labs successfully conducted a two-day workshop on “Design Thinking for Product Development”, offering young learners an engaging and hands-on introduction to innovation and technology.
The workshop began with an inaugural address by Br. Ajai Kumar, who highlighted the growing importance of creativity, critical thinking, and design-oriented problem-solving in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape.
A total of 13 students from Grades 5 to 9 actively participated in the programme. The sessions were designed to introduce the fundamentals of product development through interactive and practical learning experiences.
On the first day, students explored 3D modelling using Tinkercad, where they learned basic design principles and created their own digital models. This activity helped enhance their creativity, spatial awareness, and problem-solving abilities.
The second day focused on 3D printing, providing students with insights into how digital designs are transformed into physical objects. Participants were able to understand the complete journey from ideation to prototyping, bridging the gap between imagination and real-world application.
The workshop concluded with an inspiring session by Gayathri Manikutty, who encouraged students to continue nurturing their curiosity and pursue innovation with confidence.
Throughout the programme, students displayed remarkable enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, making the workshop both educational and enjoyable. The organizers also extended their sincere gratitude to the Second Foundation team for their valuable support and coordination in making the event a success.
