Workshops/Conferences Conducted

  1. A two day workshop on Writing Effective Conference Papers under the National Mission on Education through ICT (MHRD, Govt. of India) is conducted through e- learning studio of Amrita School of Engineering and is organized by IIT Mumbai during 18th and 19th February 2012.
  2. Five day Computer Aided Manufacturing, CAM training program is conducted during 26th to 30th December 2011.
  3. A two week workshop on Solar Photovoltaics: Fundamentals, Technologies and Applications under the National Mission on Education through ICT (MHRD, Govt. of India) is conducted through e- learning studio of Amrita School of Engineering and is organized by IIT Mumbai during 12th December to 22nd December 2011.
  4. A two week workshop on Heat Transfer under the National Mission on Education through ICT (MHRD, Govt. of India) is conducted through e- learning studio of Amrita School of Engineering and is organized by IIT Mumbai during 29th November to 10th December 2011.
  5. Second International Conference on Simulation Modeling and Analysis, COSMO 2011,is organized by Mechanical Engineering Department of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham during 14th -16th December 2011, in collaboration with NIT Calicut.
  6. Two day Pre conference workshop on Finite Element Analysis is conducted on 12th and 13th of December 2011. Workshop is funded by NAFEMS India.
  7. Two day workshop on Recent Trends in Machining is organized during 25th and 26th August 2011 in collaboration with ISRO and DRDO
  8. Second three day work shop on Basic Course on Fluent and Gambit is conducted from 13th to 15th August 2011.

Inauguration of Amrita Automotive Research and Technology Center (AARTC)

Amrita Automotive Research and Technology Center (AARTC), a 15 crore facility, the first of a kind in an institution in India was inaugurated on 28th January, 2015. With an area of 20,000 sq. feet it houses state of art facilities for Engine research which includes transient dynamometer and nano particulate counter, Instrumentation for NVH analysis, Vehicle handling and simulation. Three Technical seminars On road testing of vehicles, Power plants including Electric and Hybrid Vehicles, and Vehicle Simulation including Hardware in Loop were conducted as part of the Inaugural event…

Special Lectures

Special Lectures are held aiming at the overall improvement of the students.

  • Dr. Joshi C. Haran delivered a talk on Time Management under the auspices of Association of Mechanical Engineers to help the students complete their thesis work in time.
  • An ISTE workshop was organized by IIT Bombay in our campus on ‘Teaching Pedagogy workshop on utilization of IT tools for effective teaching’ in the month of January.
