The newly established department of Cognitive Sciences & Psychology (CSP) at the School of Social and Behavioural Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham focuses on an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the mysteries of the mind and human behavior.

Education and research with solid scientific knowledge and research skills to understand, support, and nurture mind, cognitive processes, psychological development and behaviour of individuals and communities towards an empowered compassionate society

Mission

Advance Understanding of Mind, Cognition & Behaviour: Perform cutting edge research to uncover of the human mind and behaviour using latest technologies.
Interdisciplinary Research: cutting edge multiple disclipinary research, such as Learning Sciences, Psychology, Philosophy, neuroscience, psychology, AI, Medicine
Disseminate Knowledge: Sharing of latest research findings with academic community as well as grass roots level, conferences and community outreach.
Creation of Innovative Solutions: Design of new technology supported solutions and interventions to address real life challenges.
