On 29th November 2016, the Department of Management, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru, conducted a colloquium for MBA students. It was conducted by the E café (Entrepreneur’s café) which supports new entrepreneurs and also helps them in networking. Mr. Sarath Nair, Co-Founder of Ignitus Events and Ms. Anjali the Global Director of E-Café, were the speakers.
The Coimbatore campus of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham joined the Global Gita Chanting event initiated by the Chinmaya Mission on 10th December, 2016.

Prof. (Dr.) Maneesha V. Ramesh, Director & Professor of Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications (AmritaWNA), attended TCS Sangam 2016, on 2nd and 3rd of December, 2016, at Hyderabad. TCS Sangam is an annual meeting of the Heads of Academic Institutes.
Amrita Center for Allied Health Sciences, Kochi, won awards in the scientific competitions of the 4th National Conference and 17th Annual conference (SILEX’16) held at Thrissur, Kerala, during December 2-3, 2016.

NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman Dr. Arvind Panagariya presented the FICCI National Award for Excellence in Technology to Prof. Kamal Bijlani, Director, Amrita E-Learning Research Lab, Amrita University on November 10th, 2016, at Fridayat Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
