As part of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)’s knowledge exchange initiative and sharing of best practices of Amrita with other higher educational institutions, Prof. Prashant R. Prof. Prashant R. Nair, Chairman of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, has been appointed to the review panel of the prestigious Fulbright-Nehru Specialist Program in the area of Computer Science and IT by US-India Educational Foundation (USIEF).

The team “Asta Racing” of School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, won the 5th place at the Formula Hybrid Competition held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Loudon, NH, USA, from April 29 to May 2, 2019.
B.Tech. students J. Anudeep, Kowshik G. and Assistant Professor Dr. Shriram K. Vasudevan of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, have been shortlisted for the finals of HackHarvard Global Hackathon, conducted by Tianchi Group, Alibaba.
Two student teams, “Scorpion” and “Paricharya” from the Humanitarian Technologies (HuT) labs of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, participated in the RoboCup German Open 2019 held at Magdeburg, Germany, from May 1-5, 2019.
