The Amrita Live-in-Labs® program has won the “Innovation by Private University’ award at the 14th World Education Summit, organised by Elets at New Delhi from August 9-10, 2019.
Amrita Darshanam – International Centre for Spiritual Studies (ICSS), in collaboration with the National Mission for Manuscripts (NMM), Govt. of India, organized a basic-level 21-day workshop on Manuscriptology and Palaeography at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, from 6 to 26 May 2019.

Prof. Bhavani Rao R., UNESCO Chair in Gender Equality & Women’s Empowerment (Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham) and Director of AMMACHI Labs, Amrita Multi Modal Applications Using Computer & Human Interaction Labs, was an invited speaker and panelist at the the Third European International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management in Pilsen, Czech Republic, at the Park Hotel Congress Center, from July 23-26, 2019.
During AYUDH Europe’s 15th Annual European Youth Summit, “Celebrating Diversity 2019”, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Live-in-Labs® was showcased to the 300+ youth who attended the week-long event.

K., Assistant Professor, Department of Prosthodontics & Implantology and Dr. Vineetha K., Post Graduate Resident, Public Health Dentistry, School of Dentistry, Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi, presented posters at the IADR/AADR/CADR General Session held at Vancouver, BC, Canada, from June 19-22, 2019.
On July 17, 2019, Amrita School of Biotechnology, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham heartily welcomed its new batch of students in a unique induction program titled “Swagatham 2019”. The day commenced with the lighting of the lamp by each of the new students and placing it at the feet of the statue of Saraswati Devi, Goddess of knowledge, an age-old tradition symbolizing the absence of darkness and ignorance in the light of knowledge.
An Amrita delegation visited Northern Illinois University near Chicago, USA, on July 11, 2019. The University at Illinois already had hosted Amrita students and will be planning joint engagements including internship opportunities in USA for Amrita students.
