The national Virtual Laboratories project of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, along with IIT Delhi; IIT Bombay; IIT Kanpur; IIT Kharagpur and others, has been enhancing the laboratory education of students online for more than a decade.
The Virtual Labs Nodal Center Meeting 2018 was conducted at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, on May 19, 2018.
On March 23, 2018, Amrita's Virtual Laboratories and its deployment outcomes won the GOLC Online Lab Award 2018 for visualized experiment category.

The preconference workshop was scheduled during the Third International Conference on Transformations in Engineering Education, organized by College of Engineering, Pune.
