Bio

Dr. Manish Kumar Jeengar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, Amrita School of Pharmacy, Kochi, India. He completed his B. Pharm in the year 2009 from Department of Pharmacy, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur, Rajasthan. He obtained MS (Pharm.) in Regulatory Toxicology from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), Mohali in 2011 and Ph.D. in Pharmacology & Toxicology from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), Hyderabad in 2016.His research training was diverse and highly interdisciplinary. His primary areas of interest are chronicinflammatory and autoimmunedisorders,anticancer drug research, molecular pharmacology and toxicology.

During his postdoctoral research (2016-17) at Linköping University, Sweden he was involved in the pharmacological evaluation of pyrimidine derivatives in DSS induced Colitis and antigen induced arthritis model. He has also worked as a research associate at one of prestigious research institute of India ICMR-National Institute of Virology, (NIV) Pune where he worked on a research project related to delivery of siRNA for gene silencing in Chikungunya virus (in vitro and in vivo)He has published total 29 papers in International Journals [ h-index = 20;i10-index = 22; the number of citations: 1038 in Google scholar (July 2021)].
