Bio

Dr. Sajitha Krishnan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru Campus. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, with her doctoral research focused on eye movement analysis for glaucoma detection using eye-tracking and human–computer interaction techniques. Her research expertise spans computer vision, machine learning, healthcare AI, explainable AI, human–computer interaction, and data analytics. She has published her work in reputed international journals and conferences, including IEEE Access and Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, and holds a published Indian patent in AI-driven glaucoma screening. She is actively involved in research supervision and currently guides three Ph.D. scholars: Anjitha P (AI in Healthcare), Anusree Manoj (AI in Agriculture), and Chinni Krishna (AI in Healthcare). As a dedicated educator, she has taught core computer science courses such as Operating Systems, Object-Oriented Programming, Program Reasoning, Business Analytics, and Computer Graphics. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes experiential and project-based learning, while her research focuses on developing scalable, interpretable, and impactful AI solutions for real-world healthcare and intelligent systems applications.
